Crafting Satara's legendary sweets with pure ingredients, timeless tradition, and generations of love.

Kaka Pedhewale began as a humble roadside shop on NH-48 in Wadhe, Satara. Over the years, it has transformed from a local secret into an iconic landmark for travelers and sweet connoisseurs alike.
While our storefront has grown, our core remains untouched. The original secret recipes, the rigorous selection of fresh local ingredients, and the dedication of the hands that make our pedhas remain pure and unchanged.
We believe in honesty, quality, and carrying forward Satara's rich culinary traditions without compromise.
We use only pure cow's milk reduced in heavy woks, premium cardamoms, and real saffron. Zero artificial preservatives, zero shortcuts.
Our pedhas are hand-molded daily by master artisans (halwais) who have spent decades perfecting the temperature and textures.
Every bite carries the rich heritage of Satara. We maintain the original taste that families have trusted for generations.
Every single morning, long before the sun rises over Satara, our kitchen comes alive. Large copper chimneys start warming up as our master halwais receive fresh, rich cow's milk from nearby local farms.
“No machinery can replace the precise eye of a halwai watching the exact moment milk reduces to golden khoya.”
The milk is boiled and continuously stirred in heavy iron woks (kadais) over a slow fire. This long, patient heating caramelizes the milk solids naturally, giving our Kandi Pedha its signature dark golden color, deep aroma, and melt-in-the-mouth texture.
